Puppy Obedience Lessons

We're pleased to welcome the services of Sean Adriaanzen, owner of Blue Shoe Dog Crew, to Paws Ahead. Sean will be teaching dog obedience lessons for young puppies, ages 8 weeks to 5 months.

Next set of classes start Sunday, July 24th, and end August 28th, 2011. Eight puppies per class. The cost of each set of six weeks is $120.00 plus tax = $134.40 dollars.

Puppies age 8-16 weeks - classes are from 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Puppies age 16 weeks to 1 year - classes are from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Puppy Class Curriculum

Blue Shoe Puppy Classes are designed to put you on the right track to a happy, healthy relationship with you and your dog.

The Blue Shoe Dog Crew is a strong believer in problem prevention. Through our puppy class we teach our new puppies basic obedience and how to meet, greet and socialize with other dogs, preventing most adult dog problem behaviors. Our class is relaxed and fun with plenty of playtime set aside for you and your puppy.

Our basic obedience class covers leash manners, commands like "sit", "OK" (which is a release word), "down", "come", as well as some fun tricks that you can show off to your friends.

We use only positive reinforcement techniques (vital for puppies). We use treats as a learning tool but eliminate them as soon as our puppies fully understand what we have taught them. We engage in games (with toys) to further train and exercise our puppies bodies and minds all the while making you an easy pack leader to follow.

2 puppy classes take place on Sundays between 10am and 1pm

Blue Shoe Puppy Socialization and Basic Obedience I

• 10am – 11am
• 8 weeks – 16 weeks (at start of class)
• Vaccinations up to date
  

Blue Shoe Puppy Socialization and Basic Obedience II

• 12pm – 1pm
• 17 weeks – 1 year
• vaccinations up to date
  

Between each class there is an optional extra socialization period, in which younger puppies get to meet and play with older puppies from the next class.

Blue Shoe Puppy Classes set you up for success for any dog sport you choose to do once your puppy reaches a year old. Basic obedience and leadership building are the first steps to any dog's success.
