Paws Ahead Agility Club Membership Rules

 

Guideline for Membership

 

·        That you pay a yearly membership fee of $35.00 for a single, $50.00 for a family (up to 2 adults and 2 children from the same family and household).  One vote per membership.

·        Non Paws Ahead clients will pay $50.00 for a single, $65.  for a family.

·        Yearly Membership dues are payable by July 1.

·        Membership will be considered lapsed and will be automatically terminated if dues remain unpaid thirty days after July 1

·        Help set-up and take-down of equipment at drop-ins, demos, fun matches and classes.

·        Attend membership meetings

·        Wear club clothing when attending trials, demos or outings.

·        Participate in arranging and running club drop-ins or events

·        Help with equipment maintenance such as painting, repairing etc.

·        Must be 18 years of age or older.

 

 

Membership Rewards

 

·        5% discount off current class rates.

·        Free drop-ins (scheduled)

·        Access to Paws Ahead agility equipment and building for club events or drop-ins. (upon approval from Paws Ahead Doggy Daycare Ltd.)

·        Discount on Paws Ahead clothing.

·        Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting – one vote per membership (membership must be in good standing)

·        Paws Ahead Agility Club is a recognised club of the AAC (Agility Association of Canada)

 

 

Membership Eligibility

 

·        New members must apply for membership to the Club or be sponsored by another club member.

·        Members that are not participating in Paws Ahead Classes must be screened and sponsored by a member selected by the executive.  They must become active in the club.

·        All applicants must be approved by the Membership Committee and will be on probation for 6 months.

·        New members on probation may attend all club functions including the Annual General Meeting.  Applicable fees will apply as set by the executive.  Voting privileges are only available after completion of the probation period.

·        The Executive has the right to waive the probationary period.

 

Rules of Conduct

 

·        Remember, we are here to have fun with our Dogs.

·        Dogs must be a minimum of 1 year of age to participate in agility classes, drop-ins, demos and events. (excluding puppy classes)

·        Dogs & handlers must have been introduced to all agility equipment to attend drop-ins.

·        No dogs are to be left unattended or running loose while attending classes, drop-ins or events.   Unless running a course, dogs must be on leash.  Do not allow your dog to visit without consent from the other dog’s owner.

·        Aggressive dogs will not be permitted to attend classes, drop-ins or events.

·        Dogs are not to be left in vehicles when the weather is warm.

·        Dogs are not to be overworked.

·        Dogs must be kept physically fit.  Injured dogs must not participate in any agility functions until totally healed.

·        Paws Ahead or the Executive reserves the right to refuse entry or excuse any dog or person from participating in any function for any reason it sees fit.

 

The Executive

 

The executive will consist of the following:

Ø     President - Elected

Ø     Vice-President - Elected

Ø     Secretary - Elected

Ø     Treasurer – Elected

 

All executive must be currently enrolled in classes with Paws Ahead.
